Nazare Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the Nazare website and platform.

Nazare is operated by Deploy Software Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17186249, with its registered office at 167–169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, England, W1W 5PF.

By accessing the Nazare website, creating an account or using the Nazare platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree to these Terms & Conditions, you should not use Nazare.

1. About Nazare

Nazare is a professional platform focused on Forward Deployed Engineers and related roles, opportunities, content and community.

Nazare may provide:

• professional content and information;
• access to FDE roles and opportunities;
• candidate accounts and professional profiles;
• CV upload and profile-building functionality;
• account connections with third-party services;
• search, filtering and recommendation features;
• events, resources and community content; and
• other related services and platform functionality.

We may add, remove or change features from time to time.

2. Using the Nazare website

You may use the public Nazare website for lawful personal or professional purposes.

You must not:

• use the website unlawfully;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to Nazare systems;
• interfere with the operation or security of the website;
• introduce viruses, malware or other harmful code;
• scrape or systematically extract information from Nazare without permission;
• attempt to circumvent access controls or security measures; or
• use Nazare in a way that infringes the rights of another person.

3. Creating a Nazare account

Some Nazare functionality requires an account.

When creating or maintaining an account, you must provide information that is accurate and reasonably up to date.

You are responsible for:

• maintaining the confidentiality of your login information;
• keeping your account secure; and
• activity carried out through your account.

You must not create an account using another person’s identity or information without authority.

If you believe your account has been accessed or compromised without permission, you should contact Nazare promptly.

4. Your professional profile

Nazare may allow you to create and maintain a professional profile containing information such as:

• your professional experience;
• employment history;
• skills;
• education;
• technical experience;
• location;
• salary expectations;
• role preferences;
• availability; and
• other professional information you choose to provide.

You are responsible for ensuring that information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to provide it.

You may update your profile where that functionality is available.

5. CVs and other information you provide

You may upload a CV and other professional information to Nazare.

You retain ownership of your CV and other original materials that you provide.

By uploading or providing content to Nazare, you give Deploy Software Ltd a non-exclusive permission to use, store, reproduce, process and adapt that content only as reasonably necessary to:

• operate Nazare;
• create and maintain your profile;
• provide platform functionality;
• improve the service; and
• provide features or services that you request.

You must not upload or provide content that:

• you do not have the right to provide;
• infringes another person’s intellectual property or other rights;
• is deliberately false or misleading;
• contains malicious software or code; or
• is unlawful.

6. Google, GitHub, LinkedIn and other connected services

Nazare may allow you to create, access or enhance your account using third-party services such as Google, GitHub or LinkedIn.

By connecting or using a third-party service with Nazare, you authorise Nazare to receive the information made available through the permissions associated with that connection.

Third-party services are operated independently from Nazare and are subject to their own terms, privacy policies and availability.

Deploy Software Ltd is not responsible for the operation, security or availability of third-party services outside its reasonable control.

7. Roles and professional opportunities

Nazare may display or provide information about professional roles and opportunities.

We aim to keep this information useful and reasonably accurate, but roles and other third-party information may:

• change;
• expire;
• be withdrawn;
• become unavailable; or
• contain information supplied by third parties.

Nazare does not guarantee:

• that any particular role will remain available;
• that information supplied by a third party will always be complete or accurate;
• that you will receive an interview;
• that you will receive an employment offer;
• that you will be selected for any role; or
• that any particular opportunity will be suitable for you.

You remain responsible for deciding whether to pursue a particular opportunity.

8. Recommendations and platform features

Nazare may use information from your profile and your use of the platform to provide:

• role recommendations;
• content recommendations;
• search results;
• filters;
• suggested opportunities; and
• other personalised platform features.

Recommendations are intended to help you discover relevant information and opportunities.

They are not guarantees of suitability, eligibility, employment or any particular outcome.

9. Communications

Nazare may contact you where reasonably necessary to:

• operate your account;
• provide requested services;
• send security or service notices;
• respond to enquiries;
• notify you about material changes to the platform; or
• provide other communications connected with your use of Nazare.

Where required by law, separate permission will be requested before sending optional marketing communications.

You can manage or unsubscribe from marketing communications where applicable.

10. Acceptable use

You must not use Nazare to:

• impersonate another person;
• deliberately provide false or fraudulent information;
• harass, threaten or abuse another person;
• distribute unlawful, harmful or malicious content;
• interfere with Nazare’s systems or security;
• access another person’s account without permission;
• reverse engineer, copy or misuse the platform except where permitted by law;
• scrape or systematically harvest platform data without written permission;
• attempt to bypass restrictions placed on your account; or
• use Nazare for an unlawful purpose.

11. Nazare intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the Nazare website, platform and associated materials are owned by or licensed to Deploy Software Ltd.

This includes:

• software;
• platform functionality;
• website design;
• branding;
• graphics;
• written content;
• databases;
• layout;
• technology; and
• other proprietary materials.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Nazare intellectual property to you.

You may use Nazare only for its intended purpose.

You must not reproduce, distribute, sell, commercially exploit or create unauthorised derivative works from Nazare intellectual property without permission, except where permitted by law.

12. Third-party content and links

Nazare may contain content, information or links provided by third parties.

This may include:

• job opportunities;
• company information;
• external websites;
• articles;
• services; and
• other resources.

Third-party websites and services are operated independently from Nazare.

Deploy Software Ltd is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, security or availability of third-party websites or services outside its reasonable control.

You should review the relevant terms and privacy information before using a third-party service.

13. Platform availability

We aim to keep Nazare available and functioning reliably.

However, we do not guarantee that the website or platform will always be:

• available;
• uninterrupted;
• error-free;
• free from technical problems; or
• compatible with every device or browser.

Nazare may occasionally be unavailable due to:

• maintenance;
• security updates;
• technical problems;
• third-party service interruptions; or
• changes to the platform.

You may stop using Nazare or request closure of your account.

Deploy Software Ltd may suspend, restrict or close an account where we reasonably believe:

• the platform is being misused;
• the account presents a security risk;
• information provided through the account is materially fraudulent or misleading; or
• we are required to do so by law or a competent authority.

Where appropriate, we may give you reasonable notice or an opportunity to resolve the issue before taking action.

By creating a Nazare account, you acknowledge that you have been given access to the Nazare Privacy Notice.

16. Security

You must take reasonable steps to protect your Nazare account and login credentials.

You should not:

• share your password with another person;
• allow another person to access your account without permission; or
• knowingly allow your account to be used in breach of these Terms.

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact Nazare as soon as reasonably possible.

17. Information provided through Nazare

Content available through Nazare is provided for general professional and informational purposes.

Although we aim to provide useful and accurate information, we do not guarantee that all content will always be:

• complete;
• accurate;
• current; or
• suitable for a particular purpose.

You should use your own judgement when making professional, employment or career decisions.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Subject to applicable law, Deploy Software Ltd will not be responsible for loss or damage caused by:

• your reliance on information that is clearly provided for general informational purposes;
• interruptions or failures of third-party services outside our reasonable control;
• unauthorised activity resulting from your failure to keep your account credentials secure; or
• use of Nazare in breach of these Terms & Conditions.

We do not guarantee any employment, interview, recruitment or career outcome from using Nazare.

Nothing in these Terms affects any legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

19. Changes to Nazare

We may change the Nazare website, platform or services from time to time.

This may include:

• introducing new functionality;
• changing existing functionality;
• removing features;
• updating content; or
• changing how parts of Nazare are delivered.

We do not guarantee that every feature will remain available indefinitely.

20. Changes to these Terms & Conditions

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The latest version will be published on Nazare.

Where we make a material change that significantly affects your use of the platform, we will take reasonable steps to bring the change to your attention.

Your continued use of Nazare after updated Terms take effect will constitute acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law.

21. If part of these Terms is unenforceable

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

22. No waiver

If Deploy Software Ltd does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms & Conditions, this does not mean that we have waived our right to enforce it later.

23. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute relating to these Terms & Conditions will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
